After over a year and a half I love my original Kindle Kindle DX updated . With nearly two weeks of constant use – read the manual from top to bottom, reading a book by a third party on Kindle tips and tricks, magazines, newspapers, NY Times, finishing a book and getting to the point about halfway another – I ‘am going to give my, well now call “second impression”.

I do not know the size to prepare for the shock of physical size, weight and bulkiness of the real device. Noting that the contrast between light and dark was not better than my original Kindle I began to question the money spent. I would really use it? There are many small touches in which the Kindle DX is a huge improvement over the original Kindle. Navigation Magazine comes to mind. The 5-way controller in general. For most, however, these are all available in the Kindle 2, including native PDF support and screen rotation (either the latest update). At this point the only thing Kindle DX has over the Kindle 2 is the size.
Do not take me long to get used to the size and actually love it. The graphics are better. The large size is a must for PDF files natively. See more on the screen allows me to read a bit ‘faster. I also use a slightly larger font so it’s a bit ‘easier for the eyes. There are times when a smaller unit would be cheaper, but I have no problem carrying it around all the time.
Of course I bought this a week before the iPad became available, so I have to say a bit ‘of that here.
Although the Internet is available on Kindle, is rather limited. Shopping Amazon, looking at Wikipedia, etc. are fine. Gmail works, but my main e-mail is not. No videos. No Color …
But this is not an Internet appliance, it is a player. As a reader do a great job – its easy on the eyes, the law and commands are very large.
It also includes 3G free. And ‘The use of the Internet often, but if you have a magazine or newspaper subscription almost anywhere a connection is important.

I really loved my original Kindle and I think I love this suit. It ‘basically a single function device, but it performs that function so well …. I would recommend one who loves to read and read often.
